We’ve listed below in part 2 the 3 Most Common Mistakes When Cooking Chicken.

➡️ Tip 1 – Turning Up The Heat: Having your pan heated prior to putting your chicken on the pan helps the chicken to cook evenly, you don’t want to crank up the heat high in the hopes it will cook faster. It’s a common mistake with unsafe consequences. This results in a combination of uncooked internally and overcooked externally on the outside. If you’re looking at cutting down time, pan-roasting is considered one of the fasters cooking methods.

➡️ Tip 2 – Over-Marinating: Acidic marinades (vinegar, beer, citrus juices) can indeed toughen the meat up over time. It’s best not to soak your chicken in it for no more than two hours. Marinating your chicken in a sealed, zip-lock back is better as this helps to distribute the flavours.

➡️ Tip 3 – Chicken Dry?: If you’ve overcooked your chicken, you may think all is lost. Well.. there is some good news. You just need to introduce some moisture to the meat. The easiest and quickest way to do that is with a pan sauce. You could also make some fresh salad and in your greek yoghurt and shred your chicken. As a rule, if you have leftover overcooked chicken or any overcooked meat, it’s best not to reheat it as it’s already dry, and it will take any last bit of moisture out of the chicken.
